Itinerary

Days 1–2: Secluded Hanging Valleys, Shepherd’s Pass & High Alpine Lakes
Meet your guides and transfer to your 4-star mountain retreat in Kandersteg. On Day 1, take a 2- to 4-hour walk along smooth earthen footpaths into a wild hanging valley perched high above town. Trace the Kander River through wildflower meadows, past sheer cliffs, and alongside thundering waterfalls before enjoying your lodge’s spa and a gourmet dinner. On Day 2, choose between two scenic routes: ride the cable car above Kandersteg through the Arven pine forest and pristine tarns toward the historic Gemmi Pass—walked by Romans, pilgrims, Mark Twain, and Picasso—or spend the full day hiking panoramic loops high above turquoise Lake Oeschinen. Before dinner, visit the interactive Ricola herb garden to touch and sample the 13 traditional Swiss alpine herbs.

Days 3–4: Lauterbrunnen Valley, Trümmelbach Falls & The Eiger Trail
Transfer into the iconic Lauterbrunnen Valley, framed by massive alpine summits, glaciers, and vertical granite cliffs. Walk through green dairy pastures and past quaint wooden chalets toward the glacial headwaters feeding the valley’s thundering cascades. Experience the world-famous Trümmelbach Falls—a series of subterranean glacial waterfalls erupting inside the mountain itself—before riding a classic yellow cog-rail train up to the car-free mountain village of Wengen. On Day 4, board the cog railway toward the trailhead of the legendary Eiger Trail. Walk directly beneath the sheer 1,800-meter North Face of the Eiger, taking in breathtaking panoramas of the Mönch and Jungfrau peaks while passing alpine pastures and grazing herds.

Days 5–6: Männlichen Ridge Loop, High Alpine Panoramas & Wengen
Embark on one of the region’s premier ridge walks along the Männlichen Loop, offering dramatic new perspectives of the famed triad: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Sweeping vistas along this high ridge trail reveal the deep valleys below and the layered chains of the Bernese Alps stretching across the horizon. Depending on group preference, opt to descend toward Grindelwald to explore lower glacial viewpoints or ice caves, or visit Lauterbrunnen for a traditional lace-working demonstration. Return to car-free Wengen to soak in the serene high-alpine atmosphere before concluding your journey with a celebratory farewell dinner.
