Along the way, you’ll experience the rich Ladin heritage, stay in charming mountain accommodations, and enjoy full-course regional feasts. With cable car access to elevated trailheads and flexible daily distances, every hiker can experience these world-class routes at their own ideal pace.

Route Notes
Moderate
Expect well-maintained alpine paths, mountain tracks, and occasional rocky sections across the Italian Tyrol. Cable cars and funiculars are used daily to lift you above the tree line, giving you immediate access to dramatic ridge lines without excessive uphill grinds. Daily routes feature flexible options for both casual walkers and seasoned trekkers, with guided support to ensure you move at your own comfortable pace.
Itinerary

Bolzano, Bluff Walk & Seiser Alm High Plateau
Meet in Bolzano for a tour of the Ötzi Iceman Museum or Messner Mountain Castle. We acclimate on Day 1 with an easy introductory walk along the bluff covering 6 to 10 kilometers or 4 to 6 miles while taking in views of the Austrian and Swiss Alps. On Day 2, we take a tram up to Puflatsch plateau for 360-degree views stretching to Switzerland, followed by a walker’s choice trek of 10 to 16 kilometers or 6 to 10 miles across the Seiser Alm high plateau at 2,160 meters. This section includes one sustained 45-minute climb and visits to famous mountaineering huts beneath the vibrant Rose Garden range. Lodging includes a 3-star hotel in the center of Bolzano on Night 1 and a charming lodge in St. Ulrich on Night 2.

Ladin Culture & Marmolada Glacier
Explore Puez-Odle Nature Park and ancient Ladin culture starting at Heiligkreuz. We hike an easy panoramic ridge route covering 8 kilometers or 5 to 7 miles, with the option to take a higher trail. Both options showcase views of the Marmolada Glacier and Piz Boè before descending to a mountain lake for our transfer to Canazei. Night spent at a charming 4-star lodge in the heart of Canazei.

Sasso Piatto, WWI Bunkers & Cortina
On Day 4, take the tram to Col Rodella for an easy to moderate hike along Sasso Piatto spanning 8 to 16 kilometers or 5 to 10 miles through wildflower fields, with views stretching to the Rose Garden range and an optional summit push. Day 5 features an 8 to 18 kilometer or 5 to 11 mile downhill trek starting at Rifugio Lagazuoi to explore historic WWI tunnels. From there, hike through the Travenanzes Valley or past the towering Cinque Torri down into Cortina d’Ampezzo. Lodging includes our 4-star lodge in Canazei on Night 4 and a 4-star hotel in the heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo on Night 5.

Days 6–7: Tre Cime di Lavaredo & Departure
On Day 6, hike an easy loop of 4 to 12 kilometers or 3 to 7 miles around the standalone Tre Cime di Lavaredo towers in Parco Naturale di Sesto. We get up-close views of world-famous rock climbing routes, explore WWI ridge bunkers, and visit Lake Misurina. Night spent at our 4-star hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo. On Day 7, enjoy a final alpine breakfast in Cortina before departing via pre-arranged transfers to the Cortina train station.
