Arrival day: After we meet you at Zurich Airport, a 2 hour Transfer will take us to our hotel in Meiringen. In the afternoon, visit the town, have a meringue or go for a ride and stretch your legs along Lake Brienz.

Two of the most famous passes in Switzerland Grimsel (2,165m) and Furka (2,431m).
The Furka Pass is probably one of the prettiest passes in Switzerland. At an altitude of 2,431m, it is the fourth highest after the Umbrail, the Grand-St-Bernard and Nufenen passes. From Oberwald in the magnificent Goms Valley until the summit which straddles the cantons of Valais and Uri, the route passes through Gletsch and then rises, coming flirtatiously close with the Rhone Glacier.

The Nufenenpass (2478m), the second highest paved pass in Switzerland. The reward: a long descent into the Italian speaking part of Switzerland. A coffee stop in Airolo, before starting the second climb: the legendary Tremola (south face of the Gotthardpass), which features a 5km section of cobbled switchbacks on its top section. Another descent then leads us to the Susten pass and finally back to our hotel in Meiringen

Relax in Thun, the picturesque city on the shores of Lake Thun features a striking castle and an old town dating back to the late Middle Ages. An optional easy ride along teh shores of teh lake allows us to recover before tomorrows big race.

We make a short Transfer to Bern and line up for L'etape Switzerland. Sure to be a great day out. Your guides will see you along teh route and then meet you at the finish line in Interlaken for a celebratory drink.

Sometimes a custom trip is participating in one of our exisitng trips on a private basis with a few alterations to trip length, activity level, or adding some side trips. Other times we get to work to create a unique itinerary specific to your groups desires or budget. We then use our expertise to organize a tour especially tailored to your vision.
The first thing we do is get to know you a little. We learn your interests and preferences, find out who’s going and why. Family, friends or associates? Birthday, reunion or corporate retreat? When you speak with our tour designer he/she will work together with you to design a trip that is sure to create great anticipation and excitement for all.
