Walking & Sailing Croatia's Dalmatian Coast Tour 

Sail to the islands of the Dalmatian Coast and explore the many secluded bays and coves only witnessed from the deck of a boat; then drop anchor and discover each islands treasures as you walk within each island's pristine interiors. Sail, Walk, Sail, Swim, Sail, Eat, Drink, Relax,Sleep and do it again... 
We set sail from World Heritage city, Split, for our week-long sailing adventure along the Dalmatian Coast. Walk in the morning and set anchor at a new port each evening after and afternoon sail. What better way to explore the most beautiful Adriatic Islands that dot the Croatian Coast than with the flexibility of a gorgeous Sail boat.

 

Days 1-2: Split to Solta and Brac Islands
Catch some afternoon winds as we make our way for small port on the Island Solta in time for an evening swim & dinner in town. Walk within the island with stops at the honey and olive oil producers that inhabit the picturesque villages, then set sail for our 2nd island Brac and quaint Pucisca to tour the fascinating sculpture school.

Days 3-5: Hvar & Pakleni Islands
Transfer to the highest pint of the island Brac and of the Adriatic for "must see" views. Then hike down to the oldest village on the island for a tour of the village and its olive oil and wine producers. Sample the special honey nut cake made only here the afternoon winds take us to  Island Hvar, the jewel of the Adriatic.
For 2 days trace lush Lavender laden Hvar, and enjoy the lively medieval port town of Hvar Town. Walk in the cool morning and sail and swim in the afternoon and berth in the best protected port on the Pakelini Islands so you sleep well.

Days 5-8 Vis, Bisevo & More Brac
Sail to Vis where we explore what many think is the most beautiful island in the Adriatic; learn about its fascinating history as we walk within the island. We then set sail for tiny Bisevo to see the renowned Blue Grotto. A final feast in Milna on the island Brac and an early morning fast ferry gets you to Dubrovnik by noon.

Walking & Sailing Croatia's Dalmatian Coast Tour 

Set sail along the Dalmatian Coast, lay anchor and explore the many secluded bays and coves only witnessed from the deck of a boat; then drop anchor and discover each islands treasures as you walk each island's pristine interior. Sail, Walk, Sail, Swim, Sail, Eat, Drink, Relax,Sleep and do it again... 


We are not able to board our boat until early afternoon. Therefore for those that wish we meet early for an extensive city tour of Split then lunch at nearby Cetina Gorge. This gorge will constantly be in your sights throughout the next 2 days of your sailing journey. Once we board our boat we sail to the picturesque fishing village located at the far end of the island Solta, where we dock for night and dine on shore.

In the morning we enjoy a hike that explores the interior of the island of Solta. Here we discover an island that prides itself on its olive oil and honey production. We stop off at one of the premier producers for a tour and tasting. We should arrive on the far side of the island in time for lunch aboard our boat. We set sail for our 2nd island Brac and a special swimming spot within one of the more secluded bays of the island. Our destination is the stone cutters village located at the far south end of the island..


We rise to tour the world renowned sculpture school that produced the marble for the White House in Washington DC as well as for the palace of Versailles just to mention a few. We then hike up to the oldest village on the island. After a tour of the village and a visit to one of the local producers of olive oil, lavender oil and honey we hike down to Dol. In this small picturesque village we sample the most delicious cake Croatia has to offer, then make our way to our boat to catch some afternoon wind and another secluded cove on our next island , Hvar.

We set anchor in another small fishing village and enjoy a dinner with the locals.  The following day we transfer to the islands highest point where amazing views open up and offer us a trail within the spectacular lavender laden fields of Hvar. We picnic along the coast where our sail boat is waiting to enjoy some afternoon breezes before anchoring at  the Pakelini Islands. From here we are able to easily access to our the lively medieval port town of Hvar then return to our quiet slip where we are sure to sleep well. 


In the morning we transfer by van for a hike that explores the wine making villages of the island. We picnic in one of the tiny fishing villages that also houses one of Croatia's award winning wine producers. We tour the facilities and visit the unusual cellar located below the sea's surface. Once done with lunch we set out for a sail that further explores the Island Hvar with enough time for another swim before dinner.

In the morning we sail to the Island Vis and explore what many think is the most beautiful island in the Adriatic; You will learn about its fascinating history as we walk within the island. The following morning we sail to the tiny island of Bisevo to see the renowned Blue Grotto

Our last day we sail back toward Split and get in once last ride before a farewell feast after our final sail to the island Brac. From here an early fast ferry can get you to Dubrovnik by noon.

    • Day 2: Walking: 2-3 hours, flat coastal —quiet pine covered island walk. Highlights: Olive oil & Wine tasting; 
    • Day 3: Walking: 4 hours, rocky trail with option to shorten. Highlights: Stone cutters school, Oldest village on island and special Dol cake
    • Day 4: Walking: 3-4 hours, downhill then flat w/ options for more or less. Highlights: Lavender fields, beautiful coastal views and rural patchwork of scenery , Peka (Croatian BBQ).
    • Day 5: Walking: 3 to 4 hours- 2 options from easy or w/ 60 min of uphill . Highlights: Pakleni Archipelago, Lavender fields Coastal vistas and Hvar town.
    • Day 6: Walking: 2 hour hike along the sea w/ option to make 1 hour longer Highlights: Blue Grotto
    • Day 7: Departure day
