Spain is a complex country to say the least; with 17 autonomous regions each with a diverse geography and culture. We focus on two, each renowned for their idependence and pride: Catalonia, home to Gaudí and Dali and the dramatic Costa Brava, and the Basque Country, where strong cultural traditions, a celebrated cuisine and a distinct language that pre-dates the Romance languages are celebrated.
Catalonia packs a lot into its four provinces. The stunning cove beaches of the Costa Brava highlight one of Europe’s most dramatic coasts in the world, backed by the renowned foodie scene & Jewish history of medieval Girona, and Salvador Dalí's gloriously surreal 'theatre-museum' in Figueres. And if that weren’t enough, there are the mighty medieval monasteries, gorgeous Romanesque churches and isolated hilltop villages scattered throughout. Wherever you venture there is the undeniable sense that Catalonia is different from the rest of Spain and very worth celebrating.
